Privacy Policy — Crypto Tracker
Effective date: 27 November 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Crypto Tracker (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses information collected from users of our mobile application (“App”).
Summary
- This app collects very little personal information. All portfolio and transaction data (your holdings, buy/sell history) are stored locally on your device and are not shared outside the device by default.
- Market price data is retrieved from a third-party service (CoinGecko). This is non-personal public market data.
- We do not sell or share personal user data.
Data We Collect
- Local data (stored on user device): portfolio records, watchlist items, settings, preferences, alerts configuration.
- Diagnostic data (optional): If you enable crash reporting or analytics, we may collect non-personally identifiable diagnostic information. If used, the vendor and data categories will be disclosed in the Data Safety section.
- Market data: External public data from CoinGecko (prices, market caps, symbols).
How Data Is Used
- Portfolio and transaction data: used to provide the core app functionality, calculations, and local storage for offline use.
- Notifications & alerts: local config used to schedule and display notifications.
- Market data: displayed in the app for market prices and charts.
Data Sharing
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- Personal data stored locally is not shared with third parties unless the user explicitly chooses to share exports (Excel/CSV) or uses a service to back up data (if you add backup features externally).
- The app uses CoinGecko API for market data; this does not contain user-identifying information.
Third-Party Services
- CoinGecko: market price API (non-personal public market data)
- Optional: If you use Firebase Crashlytics or analytics, disclose vendor name and purpose, e.g., “Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and diagnostics”.
Security
- We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data locally. Because the data is stored on your device, please protect your device and backups.
- We cannot guarantee 100% security; use device security features (screen lock, backups) and be cautious when sharing exported files.
Your Choices
- You can disable or clear local data within the app settings (if this feature is available).
- You can export or delete your data from the app.
Children’s Privacy
- The App is intended for general audiences and is not targeted at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If you have questions or concerns about this policy or our data handling practices, please contact: farelnazhari.22@gmail.com
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will update the effective date at the top of the document. Continued use of the App following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
